PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Erin believes in patient-centered treatment plans developed with a strong evidence-based approach that promotes self-care and empowers patients to take their health into their own hands. The ultimate goal, giving patients the manual to understand their bodies. Erin has a strong background in sports medicine with experience in an array of orthopedic conditions. Returning to sport for the casual gym goer to elite athlete, pediatric to adolescent care, pelvic health, and concussion treatment are her areas of passion. Blending approaches of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and pain neuroscience education to optimize patient outcomes.

Erin earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Amherst College in Amherst, MA. She played collegiate ice hockey both at Bemidji State University and Amherst College. She then attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy. Erin has also obtained certifications in the treatment of pelvic and abdominal conditions by The American Physical Therapy Association, blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy and dry needling (TDN).

In 2018, Erin completed her post-doctoral residency in orthopedics with advanced training in manual therapy and orthopedic conditions and came board certified in orthopedics in 2020. Erin continues to be enthusiastic about education and is a credentialed clinical instructor for doctorate of physical therapy students and works with post-doctoral physical therapy residents at Motion.

In her free time, Erin enjoys porch side sits with friends and family, exploring the Twin Cities on her bike, and cooking. Every winter, you can find her on Lake Nokomis playing in Minnesota’s annual pond hockey tournament
